Welcome, lets get the obvious out of the way – what is dangerous stories.net – very simply contained here are a bunch of my thoughts on some of the most dangerous stories I have ever read. As a Youth Worker it greatly pains me to hear youth describe the bible as boring, yet to be honest when I was a teenager I used the exact same adjective. As an adult I realised the problem is not with the content but with the reader, or more specifically the way we read. See I believe it is the way we read the bible that makes it boring, because I have to tell you there is nothing about the story of God’s amazing plan to save the world that can be described as boring – but when we see the bible as a chore to read daily we convert an action packed adventure into a maths textbook.

So dangerous stories is an invitation to become excited about the stories contained in the bible, to dig deeper beyond just print on a page, to experience a little bit of what is really being described in its pages. But in the end – it is up to the reader – are you willing to allow the word of God to become fully alive as you read it – well that’s up to you.

So explore, comment, give me feedback. In the future this page will be split into several subpages of daily devotion series but for now – there is only one – being posted as it is written – check it out by hitting the ‘He Did What?‘ menu button.

Cheers and God Bless,

Michael.
